Here are some interesting statistics from a recent poll of our “emerging culture” (just North of startup) client CEOs…
The baseline for the poll was a change in their financial status from 2003 to 2006 (we got this idea after we made Inc. 500 – same time-frame) and some other fascinating data /1.
Political Affiliations
52% of the CEO’s polled are Republican, 22% are Independent, 17% are Democrat and 2% are Libertarian.
Experience
57% have started other companies.
47% intend to start another company in the future.
Education
47% have college (BS) degrees; 25% have master’s degrees; and, 2% have Ph.D’s.
Motivation
30% cited financial independence, and 24% said a demand for a specific product of service.
Compensation
7% were paid under $100k. /2
43% were paid $100k to $250k.
27% were paid 250k to 500k.
9% were paid 500k to $750k
5% were paid $750k to $1 million.
6% were paid $1 million to $3 million.
2% were paid over $3 million.
Net Worth

9% 21% – to $9.9 million
4% 11% – to $24.9 million
